Breathe and Stop...

It's been awhile since I been on an airplane. Last time I checked, I was still in the Marines when I rode in the sky last. Anyway, I wasn't scared, just anxious, I was ready to go and see my reason for smiling, my exit from this fucked up city I live in. I was on my way to Maryland for the first time, and what makes it even better was I was going to see someone special to me.

With my peoples at home constantly reminding me not to get into any shit, and if I get locked up NOT to call for bail money, I still was eager to hit the air. You see, this was a long time coming. When K* came to visit me, we had a really good time, and I promised I would return the favor. When you enjoy someone's company to any extreme, you tend to want to chill with that person all the time. So you can imagine how that whole span of time in between visits was like.

Now I left work on Thursday morning ready to go home and pack. My boy C* hooked me up some Purple haze for the plane ride down, so I decided to roll up before I went. I wanted to keep K* posted on my whereabouts before I left so that she knew what to do about her job. Anyway when I got to the airport checking in was fine. I went outside and puffed about 30 minutes before takeoff so you know a dude was baked. Anyway, I end up taking the route where you have to damn near strip before you get to the gate. It was cool seeing that I took care of all things illegal before my trip. So I made the necessary calls and read my SLAM magazine until we were in the air...

Now the ride was about an hour and change so it was pretty short. I ended up with a bacardi and sprite because even though I was lifted, I wanted to stay awake, alchohol has that effect for me. No I'm not normal, so fuck you.

When the Captain came on and said that we had like 3 minutes til landing, my heart started beating fast and hard. I know I wasn't nervous about seeing her, just anticipating the moment. I haven't seen her in what felt like forever, and we talk damn near everyday, I just want to see that smile and those eyes. When I did, the heart slowed down, and when we hugged, once again it felt like we were the only two in the airport.

Was I the only one who was lifted at the time???? We spent a good half hour looking for the car man, for real, we was all on different floors just walking around, buggin. It was cool, consider that quality time well spent. Remember, I just got off work and right on an airplane so no I wasn't in the most upbeat of moods. No I wasn't mad or angry, just tired. Not to mention that she also had some goody goody, and that shit was some creepuponya tree, cause it put me on my ass after awhile.

I enjoyed talking to K* damn near all night, we laughed, and went to the mall and wait--before we go any farther the one thing I noticed as soon as I stepped into the airport at BWI is that the women down there look at us men hard. I swear they could smell the up north on me cause even K* was catching eyes from 20 yard radius's and shit. Chickens and the mall, that's for another blog, maybe after this one.

Damn she looks good in all that suede. I like any woman with her own style. I bought her a Baby Blue North Face jacket for her birthday. I know she told me not to, I just remembered her take that breath of air when I mentioned that I saw one while on the phone with her. She liked it, I liked her liking it. All was good.

and this is only Thursday....
