Go Ahead...Indulge Yourself...

As God slowly takes His time to turn on the lights
I open my eyes to darkness pierced by the sun
creating images of a trail of stars falling
on you
while
darkness covers your body where you sleep
smooth as the melting solid milk bar in the heat
I observe as you shift
and that silouette is now laced in indigo
It's dusk and it shows by the way
your backside glows
God is still working on those lights...
I don't want to disturb this moving picture
so I hold my hands down with all might
caught in this rapture of beauty in dark skin
entrapped by its texture
engulfed by the person within
I still watch you take flight in your slumber
curves accented by movements
brown glaze captured by the sun
dark princess of the days and the night
I stand in stone
thoughts pacing
nowhere to run
God is still working on the lights....
I want to unwrap you
I mean, really, is it unhealthy
for me
if I have you?
I inhale your scent and I smile
overwhelmed with temptation
I indulge for awhile
with my dark chocolate sensation

as God turns on the lights....
